Discourses of Climate Delay
This is a comic adaptation of the ‘Discourses of Climate Delay’ study by the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC). I used the quotes from their supplementary materials and added some extra examples with context information gathered mostly from the fantastic Climate Disinformation Database at Desmog. Below the comic there is a pdf with links to sources for all the pages. The German translation is in the works and I plan on printing a small edition. If you you would be interested in buying a printed copy just let me know.

‘Discourses of climate delay’ accept the existence of climate change, but justify inaction or inadequate efforts.
They often contain partial truths and may be put forward in good faith, but they are dangerous! They can make the difference between engendering a resolve to act and spreading disgruntled resignation. We don’t have time for that.

A great resource I relied on heavily: DESMOG Global Warming Disinformation Database
An online quiz at Klimafakten you can take to check if you see through people’s strategies to delay climate protection.
Léonard Chemineau created a beautiful poster and cartoon characters you can use to call out discourses of delay on twitter.
